11/02/11 Part 2

After reading my own blog, I have considered something else about PD, the NHS, my consultant etc. I REALLY DO BELIEVE THEM. I am a scientist and will always prefer evidence based trialled disease treatment protocols. Not for me the airy-fairy world of homeopathy, religion. witchcraft or folk medicine. Give me the main stream medical system any day.

    I'm not too sure about the motives of 'Pharma' (apart from making fat profits). Witness the US doctors who took out patents on Mucuna Pruriens effectively stopping further research. Or the trials they pulled in the States because a promising drug wouldn't make the anticipated profits - there's a book written on it.That's why we are stuck with 40 year old palliative treatments that paper over the cracks for a limited time frame.

    ....and as for doctors ....... (grins)
